Beyond the verse: Dive deeper
As Born-Again Christians, we understand that taking just one verse out of context misses the profound depth of God's Word. The context of Scripture is ALWAYS, ALWAYS paramount, and Scripture interprets Scripture. We must know the whole to interpret the part. It's not enough to merely quote or read it, or even display it as art; we must hold the Word of God close to our hearts, live it, and love it. Let it conform you, change the way you think, and work out your salvation with fear and trembling by truly believing in it.
A firm foundation for uncertain times
Why do we seek this deeper understanding? Not just to please God, but so our lives will stand firm during evil times. When waters get rough, and storms hit, our houses will stand on the solid ground of the Words Jesus left with us: "Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock." (Matthew 7:24-25).
So, when we share a daily Scripture here, remember to go back and read the chapter before and after, and truly get inspired to dive into the deeper meaning of the Word by the power of the Holy Spirit. We pray He will guide you along the path of all righteousness as you seek Him by the power of the grace of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We emphasize with gusto the power of the grace of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the vitality of knowing how we can do absolutely nothing of spiritual value to God without the grace of the One who was crucified not only to cleanse us from our sins, paying our debt to the one and only Holy God, but also to make our works easy and our burdens light as we sojourn upon this foreign land that is not our home.
